Last October 23, Gurango Software Corporation celebrated its 12th anniversary. The evening was themed “12 Years Excelling Together”. It was a party filled with games, surprises, stories of how the employees have excelled together throughout the years, and of course, great food. The latter being the people’s favorite of any major GSC event. It was definitely a night to remember.
GSC has been through a lot since its birth. It has grown tremendously. This was shown beautifully through an AVP that documented the major events in past years, old office spaces, former and current employees, and most importantly, humorous vintage photos and videos of our CEO, Joey Gurango. Those short excerpts had everyone laughing.
But perhaps the highlight of the night was when Mr. Gurango called all the employees who were new to GSC onto one side of the stage. He then called all the senior employees onto the other side. He had the senior employees raise their right hand and pledge a short oath,
“I promise, to be a responsible role model to this new generation of employees…”
He continued to guide the seniors in a wonderful pledge. He then had the new employees pledge,
“I promise, to respect and listen to our seniors…”
At that moment, you could clearly see in everyone’s eyes that this was more than just a business. This was a family. The new generation of employees realized how much work was done before they arrived in order to get this company where it is today. While the seniors realized that they were slowly passing on the fruit of their hard labor to the next generation. It’s obvious that the only reason GSC is where it is today is because its members have truly been excelling together.
The night was concluded with a grand raffle. There were so many tech goodies and gadgets given away that you could probably put together an entire computer with the prizes alone! Surely these guys will be looking forward to the next anniversary celebration. Here’s to another year for GSC, and to many more years of better business through software!
